About DoneCast

DoneCast is a podcast production platform. It is a web application — not a podcast — that takes a raw audio recording and returns a finished, publish-ready episode.

What DoneCast does

Upload audio. DoneCast handles the editing. Specifically:

Filler word removal
Detects and removes spoken fillers: um, uh, like, you know, and similar hesitation sounds. Configurable per episode.
False-start removal
Identifies false starts — incomplete phrases that restart mid-thought (“I think — what I mean is…”) — and removes them in a single pass. No manual timeline editing required.
Flubber detection
Surfaces word-level stumbles, mispronunciations, and verbal restarts for one-click removal. “Flubber” is DoneCast's term for the category of errors between fillers (single-word sounds) and false starts (sentence-level restarts).
Silence trimming
Removes dead air and compresses awkward pauses to a natural listening cadence.
Sound effects (SFX)
Attaches sound effects at marked timestamps. Library managed per show.
Gold moment flagging
AI-assisted detection of notable, clip-worthy moments worth highlighting, clipping, or sharing.
Notepad
Inline workspace for show notes, transcription, timestamps, and episode descriptions, synchronized with the audio timeline.
Intern
DoneCast's built-in AI assistant. Writes show notes, guest bios, episode titles, chapter markers, and descriptions from the episode transcript.

Who it's for

DoneCast is for people who want to start a podcast but have been stopped by the complexity of production — recording, editing, mixing, publishing. No audio engineering background required. No DAW. No expensive gear.

It's also for podcasters who started and stopped (podfade) because producing each episode took three hours they didn't have.

DoneCast is not for professional audio engineers who prefer manual workflows.

How publishing works

Episodes are distributed via RSS at rss.donecast.com. DoneCast generates a standards-compliant RSS feed compatible with Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all major podcast directories. No third-party hosting platform required.

Pricing

Plans are billed by audio minutes processed per month:

  • Starter — $19/month
  • Creator — $49/month
  • Studio — $119/month

No per-feature charges. No credit system.
